since spencer and i have officially been awarded “bad bloggers of the month”, i figured a mid-summer brain dump was in order. enjoy…

you guys, i have a secret. and i wasn’t going to tell you, but i just can’t keep it to myself any longer. i’m sewing my own wedding dress. it’s true. feel free to call me crazy – that isn’t news to me. but i’ve always wanted to sew my own wedding dress, and since spencer and i decided to wait until october to get married, i am giving it a go. here is it so far: awesome, right? ok, so this is only a practice of the bottom layer in some pick fabric i had laying around, but i still think it’s pretty sweet.

speaking of my wedding dress, i bought a waist-shaper last week to wear underneath it. i’m kind of thinking i should just start wearing it under all of my clothes. and maybe i did wear it under my dress to church on sunday. so sue me!

speaking of weddings… i decided that a wedding is one of those things that seems like it would be really fun to plan until you actually have to plan your own. it is also one of those things that make you think you have all the time in the world to get stuff done when, really, you don’t. but i finally bought a little wedding notebook, and i made a spreadsheet for our guest list + addresses, so that means i’m kind of organized, right?

speaking of wedding plans, would you be mad at me if i decided to elope? if you answered yes to that question, would you forgive me later? just curious…

also, when did it get to be july? i am not a fan with summer deciding to fly by like this. not. a. fan.

i saw the last harry potter. i cried. a few times. and i’m not even ashamed to admit it. also, i left the movie theater feeling like a whole decade of my life had just ended, never to return. apparently, i now need something new to live for.

spencer has abandoned the blog, obviously. he has also abandoned me to stay longer in oregon while i had to come back to utah for work and now i am missing him like a pathetic mess. sad, but true.

my theory is, the more pictures of me that i send him, the faster he’ll come home. but all i have successfully done is put him on a headband kick. meaning, not only does he wear headbands these days [yes, it's true]. but he also loves it when i wear handbands. the other day, he seriously asked if i would start wearing bows in my hair. it was kind of adorable. but since i only own this one hair accessory, i guess i better start crafting over here.

not only is he on a headband kick, but he is also on a jana needs to eat healthy kick. like, apparently, eating 3lbs of gummy bears in 4 days isn’t healthy. and you’re not supposed to eat JUST cheese fries for dinner. who knew?????? i’m not progressing on the whole balanced meal thing, but i am doing pretty good at staying hydrated. i’m drinking 3 of these bad boys a day, and you know what that means… i have to go to the bathroom ALL THE TIME.

in other news, this is the first season of the bachelorette/bachelor ever that i have not googled the spoilers. it’s a proud moment for me. i’m 99% sure it’s going to be jp. who, if you remember from this post, spencer knew from the first episode that he would be in the top 3. good call spencer. good call.

on the subject of finding true love on national television, i finally got my wilson diamonds engagement ring! [ok, so the two aren't really related, but i needed a good transition to talk about my bling]. i’ve been waiting to post about it on the blog until i had a better picture, but i’m caving. isn’t it gorgeous? phone photo and all…
