as i’m sure you all know by now, i’m dating a boy. the boy. and i have come to realize that he is more of a boy than anyone else i know.

he hikes. and camps. and loves byu football. and catches snakes and makes homes for them in his apartment. seriously he does.

he also fishes.

so one night, after work, we grabbed a few poles, sparkly green marshmallows that smelled like garlic, and my rain/gardening/fishing boots, and we drove up the canyon to the reservoir.

i even wore my hair in fishing pigtails.

the boy caught a fish, and i didn’t get one mosquito bite. success.

does anyone even use all of the things they carry around in their tackle box? because i don’t know what half of this stuff is for.

the boy would like everyone to know that this is not his tackle box. because, according to him, it’s very disorganized and has lots of useless stuff.

doesn’t he just look handsome? i guess you can only see the back of his head. the front of his head is pretty good looking too – you can take my word for it for now…

the following picture was the boy’s idea. and that’s why he is my favorite.

apparently i make angry faces while i fish.

during my last visit home, my little sister was a wonderful little assistant for a photo session i did of some cute kiddos at our local pool. 

i was going through some photos on my computer, selecting images to use for my upcoming website, and found this gem of jennifer. i was testing the lighting, and it just worked out that she was holding the reflector perfectly for a little portrait.

this makes me miss home just a little bit. can’t wait for august.
